Message From the Chief

Dear Ukiah Community,

As your Chief of Police, it is both an honor and a personal commitment to serve a city that I have been able to raise a family in.  I'm not just a law enforcement officer-I'm a member of this community, and I care deeply about the safety and well-being of every person who calls Ukiah home.

Our department is rooted in the belief that strong communities are built on trust, communication, and collaboration.  We are at our best when we work together.  That's why I am dedicated to building lasting relationships between the Ukiah Police Department and the people we serve.  Whether it's through neighborhood outreach, school visits, or community events, our goal is to be approachable, responsive, and engaged.

Professionalism and training are also important to our department.  I believe that the public deserves a team of well-trained, knowledgeable, and compassionate professionals who are equipped to handle the complex challenges of modern policing.  You can be confident that we are constantly striving to improve, learn, and serve better each day.
