Patrol
The Ukiah Police Department’s Patrol Division is the largest and most visible unit within the department, dedicated to delivering essential law enforcement and crime prevention services to residents and visitors alike. Operating 24/7, patrol officers respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls for service, ensuring a consistent and reliable police presence throughout the community.
In addition to routine patrols, the division handles a wide range of responsibilities, including serving arrest warrants, making arrests, issuing citations, and preparing detailed reports. Officers also conduct preliminary criminal investigations, enforce traffic laws, and respond to collisions. The Patrol Division plays a key role in community engagement by providing security and traffic control for special events, fulfilling extra patrol requests, and assisting other law enforcement agencies when needed.
