About our Dispatch Center

Dispatchers 2025

The Dispatch Center serves as the designated Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for both the City of Ukiah and the City of Fort Bragg, providing critical communication and coordination services for law enforcement and public safety operations within both jurisdictions. Housed within a modern, state-of-the-art communications facility located at the Ukiah Police Department, our center plays a vital role in ensuring prompt and effective emergency response.

Our dispatch team is operational 24/7, with each shift staffed by a dedicated team of two professionally trained Public Safety Dispatchers. These dispatchers serve as the first point of contact for the public during emergencies and non-emergency situations alike. They are responsible for answering 9-1-1 calls, handling administrative and non-emergency phone lines, and quickly assessing the nature and urgency of each call to determine the appropriate response.

Once the type of assistance is identified, dispatchers coordinate and deploy law enforcement personnel to calls for service while simultaneously maintaining real-time communication with officers in the field. This includes transmitting critical information, tracking officer locations, monitoring unit status, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of field operations. The Dispatch Center operates with a strong commitment to public safety, situational awareness, and service excellence for the communities of Ukiah and Fort Bragg.
