RE: Ukiah Police Department Case Number #13-0261 2/2/2013

On 2-1-13 at approximately 5:40 PM, a Ukiah Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on northbound US HWY 101 in the area of Talmage Road for speeding (travelling approximately 80 mph in the posted 65 mph zone). The vehicle was a white Toyota 4Runner. While contacting the two occupants of the vehicle, the officer developed probable cause to search the vehicle. The vehicle’s passenger, Thomas Simril, was found to be in possession of approximately 36 grams of suspected heroin. Simril was arrested.

Thomas Greene Simril (60 years of age of Ukiah) was transported and lodged at the county jail for the following charges:

1. 11351 HS-Felony possession for sale of a controlled substance

2. 11352(a) HS-Felony transportation of a controlled substance
