Press Release Case# 12-2424

On 8/27/2012 at about 7:50 am Detectives from the Ukiah Police Department responded to the Ukiah High School, for a reported burglary that had occurred. Through investigation it was discovered that sometime between 6 pm August 26th and 6:30 am August 27th forcible entry was made into two locked conex containers and a locked fenced area near the welding shop. Numerous items were stolen including 8 new Kohler gas lawnmower type engines; which are used by students in auto shop. A Dewalt 14" metal chop saw, a portable air compressor grey in color, two welding helmets, a leather welding jack, and a Dell computer tower was also taken. Attached is a photo of what the stolen lawnmower engines would look like. Additionally, forcible entry was made to numerous student lockers.
